Emergency Outdoor First Aid

This one-day emergency outdoor first aid qualification will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations in a prompt, safe and effective way, particularly where professional medical help is not immediately available.

Who is this course for?

This one-day Emergency Outdoor First Aid qualification is designed for outdoor professionals and where emergency medical support is not close by.

This is a 1 day course.

  • Summon assistance

  • Monitoring

  • Scene survey

  • Primary survey

  • Secondary assessment

  • Resuscitation

  • Disorders of respiration

  • Wounds and bleeding

  • Hypovolemic shock

Certification

The course is First Aid awards endorsed and taught according to the current UK Resuscitation Council Adult BLS guidelines. The Level 3 Award qualification from ‘First Aid Awards UK’ is valid for three years from the date of achievement. Learners will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.

It should be noted that if the qualification expires a person is no longer considered competent to act as a first aider in the workplace.
